chucky's a QLDer but we now after a season claim him as our own:). damn adam w-h got his contract to the brumbies a few months after the annoucement of a new club in either perth or melbourne. he has made it clear once his contact has ended he wishes to play for the force.

Certainly hope Wal "comes home".
I think he is an awesome player and has been totally under-utilised so far in his career.
Another home grown playing away to keep an eye on is Dan Montagu who has been with the Leicester Tigers and is now at Nottinghamshire http://www.nottinghamrugby.co.uk/profiles/players.htm#1

he got 10minutes in the season opener against us. and thats all i heard of him all seasons. i hope he comes home. would help wesley rugby. more people joining wiht a succesful old boy playing for the force. and he would be able to come and present the rugby award named after his brother. this year (off topic) we had john mitchell and rudi vedelago attend.

Have heard a whisper that Kiti Fuluna is continuing to impress and may be there or there abouts come contracts for 2008!
As a Blindside-#8 he may be in with a shot as he doesn't have to compete with the log jam at #7.
Good luck Kiti!!!

He also played for the Academy in Saturday's training run against the Force.

I was interested, now that Kieran has a Force Contract in what we all said about this (all that time ago)
Who was actually the first signing, Chucky or Kieran? Stannard got huge wraps in this thread, but Kieran kinda slipped under the radar.
An interesting read in hindsight, have a look back!
Wow! I just realised, we have history now!

anyone got any info about Ben Lindegaard they could share, im trying to remember where i know that name from...
-
A few of the names I recognise, some having gone further than others. Can any of you fill in what happened to the rest?
-
didnt Tyrell get the first run?
-
I don't think so, Kieran had a contract before Ryan did, and Kieran came on against the Chiefs in something like 2008 or 2009.
Memory is well shaky though.

Does Dane count as home-grown? He was a regular (well - semi-regular, cover for Cam, IIRC) in 2008.

The Debuts & Caps page on the RugbyWA site doesn't seem to be working anymore but I checked it out on the Wayback Machine and had a look as it was from the end of last year. Pretty much answers all these questions.
So far as the names mentioned here in this thread:
- Stannard (43) 15/02/2008 v Sharks
- Longbottom (48) 03/05/2008 v Chiefs
- DHP (49) 03/05/2008 v Chiefs
- Tyrrell (61) 20/02/2010 v Hurricanes
Interesting that Longbum and DHP actually both debuted in the same game :)

Longbum and Ryan are the only two WA born out of that list aren't they?
-
DHP was born in Durban but his family moved here when he was 10 (well, according to Wiki!) so I think we can claim that he learnt his rugby here
