Score a lot closer than it looks, does that make any sense? The Lions forced to win this by a rampant Waikato outfit, Nonu had a good one.

Hawke's Bay 35-29 Northland

After a couple of loses the Bay bounced back to pip the Taniwha in a close one in Napier. The Hawkeye Guys were ahead all night, but will be thankful for a couple of Northland players heading to the sin bin. Danny Lee outstanding for HB, Northland unlucky end of day.
