serious! that would be sooo good! we need sum1 like him! at first i wanted smith but now that he's out of contention waugh would be great!
I am sure I read something along these lines somewhere here in Sydney. Let me have a look. I will get back to you.
Ohhh... having Waugh would be awesome for our pack...
We just picked up a good prop...
I reckon that the team is starting to shape up rather nicely now :D
Whats wrong with Hodgson?, he,s been a consistant player all year. If we need replacements surely looking for promissing players in Perth and investing in them rather than just buying players would be better for the long term viability of the Force.
Am I just naive?
hodgson has been solid although the force nees some1 that will boost them for 2-3 years that will get to the breakdown quickly and win us ball, while hodgson gets use to being a started in super 14, it has been a big step up for him this year.
No your not naiive Eybrows- local development is the way to go in the long term hence the Academy being set up. :)
Realistically though, it will take a while for those players to come through the ranks - young Pocock is a case in point. ;)
Crucial to Force's future- because of its isolation- is to improve the depth and quality of club rugby in Perth, and this will take a while too.
So short term fixes are needed in positions requiring more strengthening, and those players enlisted can pass on much guidance and inspiration to up & comers like Hodgson, who has been good this year - but needs to learn or grow more physically to get to the next level of a Waugh,Croft or Smith. Probably under Waugh's helping hand he'd get there too!!!
But I agree that Hodgson hasn't put a foot wrong this year and deserves his place in the team/squad.
His tackling has been superb. If he had to become the reserve open flanker/lock option on the bench, his defensive work would be a great help to close out wins from the 60min mark. Also Force seems to be short on locks, so Hodgson would get enough game time to still be a player of Force's future. :P
I hope not, Angry Phil can stay right where he is - my super12 team!!! :D Go the tahs!!!!
I'm pretty sure he's signed through 2007.
Happy, are you Sloppy's mate?Quote:
