New team for Hilgendorf
Emirates Western Force playmaker Jimmy Hilgendorf has joined the 882 6PR commentary team as a specialist commentator.
Hilgendorf takes over from former Wallaby Mitch Hardy, who has been forced to hang up his microphone while filling the role of acting CEO.
The injured No 10 will join regulars Mick Colliss and Adrian Barich when he makes his debut during 882 6PR's call of the trial match against the Queensland Reds on Thursday February 7.
The broadcast, commencing at 7.05pm, will follow an hour of Sports Central, which starts at its usual time of 6pm.
Cheers
Mick

Unfortunatly Tommy that link gets turned off during the Super 14 Games.....
:(
-
Yeah Tommy, unless they forget, part of the broadcast rights agreement doesn't permit them to webcast the match unfortunately :(
-
Good on ya Hilgendorf...look forward to hearing some great commentary :D

Way to make me crap myself with the title Mick, I thought he was on the French Retirement plan for a minute!
Great to hear he'll be calling the games though.
Does your agreement allow podcasts? (ie after the fact)

Fan-Bloody-Tastic!
I know Super 14 match commentary can't, but will the trial match commentary get streamed over the internet?

Good on him - hope he enjoys his stint with 6PR - it will be interesting to get a players perspective - definitely a new bow in the arsenal - can he tell us what Mitch tells the lads to do during the match - like what to watch for - or will we have to work it out ?
Right Mick - before we all get to excited can you tell us up front how many games clash with GAYfl games - it's easier to get over it in advance - sorry mate - looking forward to listening anyways

Hi all
Sorry for the slow response.
Just checked with 6PR - no, we're not allowed to stream over the net or podcast. Can't even do that with the trial. Sorry.
And yes, it'll be great having Jimmy on board. I'll be as interested as anyone to find out what goes on behind closed doors and what it's like playing alongside Gits, Henjak and co.
As far as clashes go, I'm not sure and neither is the station. If it's a top of the table AFL fixture, we may get bumped. But if it's the bottom two, we should be OK. Hopefully we'll be OK, otherwise they'll have to put up with me whinging. Again.
Looking forward to the trial on the 7th.
Cheers
Mick

Jimmy is not quite about the radio broadcast, thought he might slip up now and then by mistake.
