And clever to be targeting players who only count a portion of their salary under our salary cap.
We need to get some returning wallabies though. A team of ex mungos will fail even if they have a rugby pedigree, because not all of them will be in league solely for the money, the games have differences and some will be in league because they're suited to league.
Like I said in the Rona thread - he's a risk. Has only ever played RL. AFAIK. The article says he also played a bit of Rugby for Wanneroo. He started RL in Sydney @ 9yo. A lot of potential but no Israel Folau or KHunt.
Has Matt Fuller been put in charge of recruitment? ;)
Did the ARU take over the Force or was it the NRL?
Sorry yes there is risk but no more than signing second division South African or New Zealand players. At least their families are over here they know the place etc.
Now how about bringing longbottom home
Back in 2012, TheForceGuy mentioned someone called Wanga Qalo: http://twf.com.au/showthread.php?t=30978 . Is Waqa Blake the same person as Wanga Qalo?
Not sure but Waqa is pronounced "Wonga". So you're probably on the money there. How the heck did you remember that? :)
I thought he hadn't played much Rugby. He played SG Ball as Blake but he wouldnt be the first to play under another name in another code.
*sigh*
Can we do a thread merge please?
No. Two different players and I'm easily confused. Must be the Mungo influence.
