Wanneroo knocked off Perth Bayswater as well.
Stop beating yourself up, Bunter.
Up to half time all Pally could manage was a 12 - 7 lead with a strong breeze up it's back.
Rocky losing it's hooker and a prop or two to injury didn't help either.
Then, the avalanche of inexplicable yellow and red cards to both teams was bizarre.
Rocky received three yellow and Pally a yellow and a red, and from what I could see and hear none were deserved. The worst offences consisted of players questioning questionable decisions, and a "spear" tackle by Rockingham which was no more than a player being lifted and released in a garden variety defensive tackle.
Referrees need to be told that the game is not about them, and that as far as it's enjoyment is concerned, the less is heard from them, the better.
The red card was for James Stannard, incidently, for no reason apparent to me.
Good luck with that at the tribunal.
Can anyone believe that RugbyWA will allow the Force trip to Samoa to be prejudiced?
Maybe it's time to bypass "official" referees and for each team to provide their own for a half. It might simplify matters.
Yep, re-living the cock ups should help soothe the memory hey Bunter :P
(Jokes Fulv ;) )
After hundreds of games of league and rugby James gets his first 'Red Card''. His offence, giving a mouthful to an opponent whom he believed deliberately stomped on his hand. Though informed, the Ref assumed for some reason, still to be explained ,that he was directing his comments towards him.
I wonder why Rugby WA can't get more S15 players involved in local Perth rugby??? maybe they can ask the peanut blowing the pea out of his whistle .. the same bloke the rugby watching public came to see ruin the game as any sort of contest.
Give yourself a red card mate the game will be better for it.
ohhhh true??:sarcastic:
was impressed with wanneroo's renovations at their clubrooms, and finally an almost even playing surface - especially down the club end, no longer an uphill sprint to score running towards the club :p
Trouble at the Bayswater Mill??
It's great to hear that guys from other clubs enjoy coming to Wanneroo and also appreciate the hard work that was put into the changes and upgrade of the club. I must also say that Baysie went out of their way to get their players and supporters to stay behind for a few cold ones. Most Baysie senior coaches and players stayed till the doors closed!
It would be great to see this happen more often at clubs. We're all trying to be as professional as we can be on and off the field but after all it is still amateur rugby and those few drinks after games does bring as closer as a rugby community! or at least for that night!lol
My sprinting days are long gone, i save my energy for after the game :p
