I met the man today.

Last time I was in Perth I was accused of being a "groupie fanboy" by my mates because as we wandered down to the lobby bar the Wallabies were checking in (we didn't know they were staying there too), I was kinda gushing and wishing them all good luck (it was unexpected so I didn't have time to compose myself and play it cool, ok!?)...

So anyway, I introduced myself to Ewen McKenzie today, had a quick chat (he liked the new Waratahs training jerseys and said he hadn't seen one like mine before... only got it last night), chatted a tiny bit about wearblue, all in all it was a pretty quick chat, but I'll have to get to the point of what I wrote above.

The first words I said to him were, "I don't mean to sound like a groupie fanboy, but..."

I had to put up with the mardi gras jokes from a few people today. Fortunatly when I went back into the office after the matches this afternoon (trust me, it's been a long-arse day) one of them was still there and his precious Reds had lost. HA!

its like the time I am wondering around with mrs TCIE thru the Mall in Perth on my honeymoon and we walk in to this Marquee with Andrew Blades and "Bill" aka the William Web Ellis Cup (Larry, this is like the Vince Lombardi trophy only better). I am the only guy in their apart from Andrew Blades 2 security guys. oh yeah and the missus.
