waste of money. i hope they consider the 60000 and 35000 seat ideas.
only $100k for a seat,
680 car bays for 70 mill .... $103k for a carparking spot .
totally outrageous costings for these stadia. Once developers hear "Govt' funding" they just go mad.
surely thats a joke?? cos it sounds like one doesnt it, i look forward to the release of the report on may 14th. I'd prefer a purpose bulit rectangular stadium but i'd take a multi-purpose similar to telstra atadium in sydney, was there earlier in the year and enjoyed the experience, although the force vs waratahs at aussie stadium was better, so much closer to the action
The Olympic Stadium bites (think it's called Stadium Australia or Telstra Stadium this week), pain to get to, overpriced and miles from the action.
Give me the Sydney Football Stadium (now known as Aussie Stadium) any day.
That was a publishing error by The West Australian, this stadium is going to be a 12,000 seater for sports such as basketball/tennis and for concerts up to 14,000.
But yes its being built not just as a stadium, but to bring an 'iconic' building to the city.
To join those other iconic buildings like the Bell Tower... :verysad:
