In the UK they have banned ebayer's from doing this with soccer tickets (mainly because of the need to segragate fans) but not yet for rugby. Sellers get around it though by selling other items, and including a "free" match ticket. About time the tout was put out of business and all tickets for these high profile games get distributed through clubs to members, season ticket holders and finally anyone else who can prove they have bought a ticket during the season. This would prevent the professional tout from getting hold of them, and any they did sell could be traced by to origin and action taken.
flat-top. is a tout a scalper? dodgey bloke who buys tickets then sells them for a profit to fans who are prepared to pay more then the price advertised
im sooo there :P ... ummm hmmm next year ... i'll save up :) ... saving for the melbourne cup this year :)
Ah fair enough, cos gee that's sooo much more important than some silly rugby international.Quote:

Consumers determine the market. If you could only resell them for face value you would never be able to get a ticket if you weren't lucky enough to get them in the first 20 minutes.
That being said I think that most of the face value prices in sports are way too high. I'd certainly never bid on hard to get tickets that are 10 times higher.
absolutely - people who do this should be banned from purchasing tickets for any future games!Quote:
