Should be a good match, but no, hadn't heard of the fixture.
I think they used to play that match back in the 80's from memory.
The Premiers from either comp from the previous year.
Sounds like a great entree.
The entree will probably be better than the main meal
Speaking of the main meal- I have a Tah-loving mate in town at the moment (he's from Sydney, he don't know any better :P ) Would JB's be a go-er to see that on Saturday arvo?
It'll be on there Fer Sure!
My neice is the little kid who carries the ball out for the start of the game this week.
Keep an eye out for her. If she can catch the ball word is that Digby will be given the flick and Grace offered a contract.
yeah i knew it was going to happen, but unfortunately for Sunnybank, they are only a shadow of what there team was when they won the comp last year.
Sunnybank 2007
Reds Players in the team:
Greg Holmes, Rodney Blake, Ole Avei, Nic Berry, Ben Lucas, Henari Veratau, Digby Ioane, Josh Afu
Where did Nic Berry end up TOCC?
I thought Berry went to Japan. Shame either way really. Anyway heres the two line-ups for the curtain raiser:
Sunnybank: 15 John Dart, 14 Karel Bos, 13 Robert Lee, 12 Richard Kingi, 11 Paul Sovala, 10 Ben Gollings, 9 Sean Armstrong, 8 James Su'a, 7 Stu Killen, 6 Jon Dalimore, 5 Robert Simmons, 4 Luke Billiau, 3 Joe Tufuga, 2 Ole Avei, 1 Albert Anae.
Sydney University: 15 Lachlan Mitchell, 14 Alfi Mafi, 13 Leo Afeaki, 12 Mitch Inman, 11 Ed Jenkins, 10 Daniel Halangahu, 9 Nick Haydon, 8 Tim Davidson (captain), 7 Jono Jenkins, 6 Pat McCutcheon, 5 David McDuling, 4 Ben McCalman, 3 Laurie Weeks, 2 Nathan Charles, 1 Jerry Yanuyanutawa.
A fair few of these guys will be turning out for the Junior World Cup which should make this a pretty interesting game. Ben McCalman is also being chased by the Force for 2009 as a back-rower. If anyones going to see the game fancy keeping an eye on him and tell us how he is?
Thanks TOCC.
I'd tip Uni at a canter, they have more of their long term weekly team together and have some genuine top players there.
That said, Ben Gollings is a real game breaker, so Sunnybank will start with a chance.
Any vinterest Gerry, Petals?
