Joondalup 2nd Grade 2013 - is that right? If so how is it going to work? i.e When they play Cott 2nd grade who plays Cott 1st grade?
End of season playoff between bottom second grade team and top third grade team from club which does not have a second grade, for the position? Assuming it's Joondalup, no Joondalup player eligible unless he has played qualifying games which make him eligible to play 3rd grade finals.
Other club's players must be qualified for second grade finals also.
Joondalup to lose by 60 points.
Sad thing is, I don't know if there would be a playoff. Lions might be mightily p'd off if Joon. get a walk up start for no other reason than that they are noisy and objectionable.
How would the entire Comp be structured if a promotion relegation finally got through for 3rds into Reserve grade?

What?
Are you saying that at the end of this year the Wooden spooners from Reserve grade will play off against Joondalup for a place in 2nds next year? so a team could end up with two 3rd grade teams?
Unless yuo can field a full quota of teams i dont think you should be able to play 2nds or 1st.
I would say if rwa ever considered it and the clubs voted for it, a complete restructure of the senior grade competition would be needed, with a Premiership and Championship type structure with less teams, say an 8-8 split with reserves or Prems playing Thurs, Fri n Sun or Just look to NZ to figure it out........surely.

Hang on, hang on, this is getting to be like Chinese whispers.
Someone said they'd heard J would be in second grade next season.
I suggested that if they were, it should be after a play off, and I set out what, in my view, the play off criteria should be
I also said that if there wasn't a play off, other clubs who aspired to higher grades might be upset.
All the above doesn't make J in second grade next year a fact, or even a likelihood.
Yeah I've been hearing the rumours for a while, but nothing substantial. Anyway, their '1st' team aren't top and their '2nd' team are without a win, so it doesn't sound like they are in a strong position to move up.
The rumour I heard was 2014 and twas Mandurah with the rwa handshake
haha - nothing will budge the current setup.

Which is why rugby in WA will never improve at grassroots level. I've been gone a year and can see why it will never be taken seriously outside WA. Sad really.... The blind leading the blind. Too much focus on individual clubs, not enough passion to improve the overall setup. Still, as long as the established clubs keep winning a pointless comp and promising players need to move over east then WA will remain the same. Sad really....
I heard they are going to trim the premier comp to 8 teams...
"1st" grade team were fourth a week ago, now 2nd - with a paid coach. "2nd" Team were without a coach until three weeks ago. Supposedly the 18's turned up to a pitch that wasn't marked out fully until half time recently. Seriously if this isn't a grab for cash by Rugby WA, then someone's having a lend.
