300 kids
A mate relayed to me yesterday about how much his daughet enjoyed the clinic put on for 300 Year 7 kids yesterday at nib Stadium.
The Bunnies, Broncos and WA REDs players joined forces to entertain and teach a heap of eager kids the basics of rugby league. He said it was very well run and the kids had a great time. All kids left witha backpack with posters and genuine junior league ball and ticket for the game, they had autographs and photos and he said she was still raving about it after dinner. He now has 6 kids to take along tonight, two of those kids have dad's that have tried taking then to AFL games but the kids don't like it!!
Well done WA Reds et al for the work, it certainly sounds like it was worth the effort :approve:

Paul Harrigon was on the radio this morning saying that 17,000 tickets had been pre-sold.
Hopefully the weather holds off (although i doubt it)

Only standing room left this morning.

Ya gotta love ya League! But not enough to stand around in that weather. $90 bucks down the drain. Build that fuggin' grandstand Mr Rubble. The West is claiming 15,700 still turned up. If that's true 10,000 must have left before the telecast started.

I went and took my seat on the 40 metre line. My Western Force coaches jacket stopped being waterproof well before the NRL game started. Thats what I get for getting in early to watch the curtain raiser
More then obviously the Shed was packed!
15,700 was announced at the game as well

I got absolutely soaked...and disappointed about the result. Was preparation for today, I suppose.

Souffs fans would have loved the weather - would have been their first wash in months

My mate said the crew of seven girls along to the game loved every minute even though they were drenched, good show ARL!!
