Badger's on fire!
One Meat Pie!! so far - and he served one to Kurindrani
and Man of the Match
Wheres the interview ??????? Well done HB He was definately on fire Again Genia still the Bad Link in the Team Cooper improving Horwill , Simmons Need to be dropped
Just after Cummins was reported as Man of the Match, the Italians had a rolling maul and the flanker spun off with the ball and only one man to beat - Cummins. HB put a lovely hit on him just to ease him back into the forwards.
Not a big, flashy highlight-reel tackle which if it had gone wrong would have given Italy a try, but an economic move, allowing him to get back up and defend the wing immediately.
Completely missed by the commentators, of course!
I wonder if Cummins had an ego whether he'd have got more tests by now; the current back-three (AAC, HB & Izzy) all fantastic players and will back themselves, but don't seem to have this "I'm great, look at me" attitude, they're more "give me the ball and let me prove it". If Link can instil that attitude throughout the team (and making Mowan captain was a good start) then maybe we can get back to winning more than two games in the Rugby Championship and challenging for Bill in 2 years.
The result that we expected to be honest good for the lads to get a win on the board but lets see them try and build on this win
Being a wallaby fan is an emotional rollercoaster. Up one week very low the next!! I hope they can keep this going!

It's noticeable when they have a good margin in front as per the Argies game - the pressure is off, they're confidence lifts and they look relaxed and start playing a really good running game and look more like they're in their mojo. It's when things start to get pressured that focus drops so it appears to be a mental problem mostly. The backs were having a great game but Wallabies forwards is just lacking any grunt or impact. Horwill seems hopeless, and Alexander and Genia.
What improved scrum as per Rugby 365 match report:
Villain: This one is very easy. It goes, yet again, to the Wallaby front row - which remain as frail as ever and they are fortunate referee Glen Jackson was so clueless or they could have had more penalties and even a card or two.
Same article Man of the Match .....our award goes to wing Nick Cummins, who has developed into one of the game's most lethal finishers and is now guaranteed a regular starting spot. He scored two crucial tries.
