Hi Chibi
I see how NIB could grow into this as I see how the new east getting lifted up or is this the Magpie eddies new home... just some got to it first..
That amazing just for college football and then you take a look at the the cowboys stadium and the DKR memorial stadium
wish we could just get a small slice of this
:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:
There is some talk that the Longhorns will reply to this by expanding their ground further.
Bugger Qatar! FIFA should have held the world cup in Texas!:glasses:
Yeah, but the Aggies are going up to 102k. And they have been accused of making it 102k just to annoy the Longhorns; so it should see some interesting developments happening over the next few years!
Fun and games in the Lone Star State! :bounce:
A bit more college stuff, this was to be the design for the Miami Hurricanes on-campus stadium. It didn't get built, but I like the design of the bottom row of removable seats for switching between rugby and cricket/afl.

That's not a new idea, Etihad (or whatever the hell the GayFL is calling it now) has configurable seats, as does Homebush (is it still Telstra or something else) and the proposal for Kitchener Park, I haven't looked closely at the proposals for the new stadium in Perth since sanity has prevailed and they seem to be looking at it as an AFL thing.
The problem is with field damage causing the turf underneath that section to be virtually unuseable if the seating is moved. The AFL will never allow the stadium to be configured into a rectangle (as proven by the Wallabies match at Etihad, seats weren't moved for a Bled Cup game, they won't be moved for regular rugby) so money spent on a configurable lower tier is IMHO money wasted.
Probably different in the US where many teams play on artificial turf now.
NiB won't be growing into anything until they get rid of the Heritage listing on the old Western Stand - a process that I believe the council (Town of Vincent?) is investigating
ANZ Stadium :)
The AFL will own Etihad in 2031 apparently so hopefully AAMI Park is uprgaded before then so that Soccer and Rugby aren't contributing directly to the AFL bottom line
Nah, those seats are a little different to what they have at Docklands. I think these are more like the Christchurch ones.
