News media here don't care about anything but Eastern-States Based sport (and even then not).
Just for you Reds81:
Soaks on the up.
Nedlands juggernaut rolls on.
Cottesloe have some issues behind the scenes and its showing on the field. More to unfold in the weeks to come.
Baysie benefitting from recent imports but still winless. An implosion waiting to happen.
Rocky also benefitting from new imports including James Dougal from Nedlands who has jumped ship so many times he must have splinters in his feet.
Wests imports are starting to jell and they will give some teams a fright in the 2nd round.
Pally consolidating in the top three but two danger games ahead.
Wanneroo received a big nail in their coach's coffin yesterday.
Uni getting some momentum but will lose the plot in round 2 as is the tradition.
Kala on the slide. Next 3 games vital otherwise its all over red rover.
Thanks for the update Darkness
Some interesting comments there.
What's up at Cott- sound like you have a scoop!!!
Are Soaks genuine now or was that one win against a "Cott with issues' their big game for the round?
They haven't done much against the other top four sides this year. Sad to hear continuing import rumours still going this far into the season.
Soaks are genuine contenders for the 4th spot on the ladder come September but no higher.
Cott situation is still evolving and may go legal so I will keep the powder dry and see what rises to the surface.
Its now fairly well known that Elwee has this year to pull a rabbit out of his coaching hat (or at least thats the talk of the Roo Dogs back room boys) or receive a red card.
The so-called 5 year plan is not looking that promising and the club needs some new direction. I understand Lex is being lined up for the top job.
Depth is an issue at Wanneroo and no sign of a solution on the horizon. Many of the players do not relate to Elwee's "style" although I do believe technically he is a good coach. Will be interesting to see how he fares with the Perth Gold team this year.
The Neddies hierachy seem to know whats going on up at Wanneroo; any comments Hansie?
No comments at all - just very interested in what comes out of it all.
Elwee - to his credit - is as passionate about the game as are all of us. He's had many critics, some justified, some not. Let's see how he goes with some quality cattle more intent on skill development and playing for WA than a wad of cash. he has a sensational assistant in Brenden Loag and both of them will do very well.
Why would Neddies hierarchy know what's going on up at the Roo Dogs???
I hear that Neddies are looking for a new scoreboard attendant;the current one appears to have trouble with the controls!
It's not the controls...it's the F&^%$ing aerial. It's too short....
Yes but then she complimented my girth
and lats...
