This isn't a question of loyalty or going with your heart - when it comes down to it, what do you really feel when about watching a Force game?
Could you add another option??
"Winning is a real possibility, but we will stuff it up and lose"
I am that stupid idiot that always believe we will
I began this year thinking, let's see how we go.
I then began to think, we're going to win.
... but that optimism has been crushed :(
we're all suckers for punishment
Last friday night truely was a dagger into the heart though :(
they must be taking hints from the Dockers
Supporting the :force: must be like supporting the Dockers or Richmond in the AFL - you just hope for the best but are just not sure which team will turn up...
Yup... I'm with Tragic (and Ecky).
Reckon the Force is turning out like France. Glorious one moment; hideous the next. Never know which one's going to turn up.
There is the other approach - expect to lose so you can't be too disappointed if it happens. This is known as the "Cheetahs" scenario.
every now and again, you beat the Sharks!
At least it's better than being a 'Tahs supporter
"Expect to be woken up at the end of the match to find they've won by 2"
For me, it would be "Winning is a real possibility, but there is every chance they'll find a way to stuff it up and lose"
I go in with the expectation that they will win, because they are capable of beating any team in this comp (although every team in the S14 could say the same, especially this year). It is why it is then so hard to take when they do manage to lose. Easier if they are genuinely outplayed, but that has seldom been the case since 2006.
Nailed with that last sentence Andy.
2006 I needed heart medication, since then I've needed ulcer medication!
all I expect is that 22 players give 100% and all play to the best of their abilities.and play as a team.
