Tourism Australia's Jim Telfer parody of Everest speech goes viral

A SPOOF video of former British Lions rugby coach Jim Telfer’s famous "Everest" rally speech from the 1997 South Africa tour has become a viral sensation for Tourism Australia.

Tourism Australia's video, posted on YouTube (see video below), shows Jim Telfer rallying UK fans to travel down under to support their team on the British & Irish Lions Tour in June, has racked up more than 50,000 views in a week and been shared on social media by ex England captain Will Carling and former rugby union stars Brian Moore and Will Greenwood.

In the three minute video, Telfer barks orders at a room full of male fans to lobby their wives to let them travel to Australia on the tour.
