Prime Minister John Howard has revealed in a You Tube political advertisement his utter contempt for the Wallabies.
In the ad Howard reveals that as a guest of the Wallabies in their changeroom after the Wales Test earlier this year his thoughts turned immediately to Orang-Utangs, inspired no doubt by the sight of the glistening naked bodies in the showers.
Turning his back on serious repartie with the Australian sportsmen, Howard instead engaged in deep and meaningful discourse with a disabled child on the preservation of the Indonesian simians, promising to thoroughly investigate their plight and pledging the devotion of a sizable proportion of the national budget to their cause.
Interestingly, Howard made no commitment to research funds being made available to find a cure for the disabled child's illness.
A number of the Wallabies took exception to the PM's presence, and expressed discomfort at his intense and unrelenting gaze at their nether regions. More than one complained that Howard's comments amounted to racial vilification.
The Australian Rugby Union is thought to be investigating the incident and it is expected that an official media release will issue shortly.
You can see the offending Advertisement on You Tube by going to the Liberal Party site. Altenatively it is shown on the Age Newspaper site under the headline 'Howard cares more for Orang-Utangs than Curing Cereberal Palsy".
Sorry, not too good at providing links.Maybe someone who knows how can do so.

I think this is a cunning ploy by the PM to assist Indonesian (they may or may not be Orangutans) Rugby players to train in Australia as prop forwards and in the way only "Our Jonny" can help Australian Rugby catch up on everyone else when it comes to pillars of the scrum!:iconrofl:

Stay tuned for MeToo's announcement on a fund to save the Eastern Lowland Gorilla...
Perhaps we should try and keep TWF a political comment free zone?

No way burgs, let us bag politics whenever and wherever we like, they all deserve a good shafting to sort 'em out....It is a free country after all, and we are all entitled to our opinions, although for how much longer who knows...The govts are slowly taking away all our rights and freedoms through fear and secrecy anyway...

Each to their own then, I just see it as being a bit below what is generally a higher standard of debate on this site.
As with real life conversations I find it prudent to stay away from political talk with people you don't know really well, it saves ridiculous no win arguments breaking out.
I would hate to see Rugby supporters decide not to join TWF because we start to get too far from the core topic.
My mistake...
