With the current form of Mitchell, Gerrard, Ioane, Staniforth, Tuqiri & Hewat it may well be a good time for Sailor to get a wake up call by not being picked in the Wallabies Squad.
He'll then have 12 months to sharpen his pencil or miss the World Cup Squad.
That's what I've been telling people this morning. He would have been a long shot to make the team anyway. His only hope would have been if he somehow proved he was awesome at centre.
I really don't think Sailor is needed in the Wallabies, from an ego perspective as well as a playing perspective.
Yeah TEF, I reckon, and have heard similar, that he has a humungous ego that is diruptive to the team dynamic.
I would much prefer to see the new younger fellas being given the chance to shine this year.
It's then up to him to prove himself worthy for '07.
He's a big unit but I would be suprised if Connolly ever started him in a fully fit squad.
If it means Del quits, well that's another third world nation we can feed for a year :S
