BROWN RULED OUT OF LIONS CLASH

Western Force Test back rower Richard Brown has been ruled out of tomorrow night’s Investec Super 14 Week 11 clash with the Lions at Subiaco Oval.

The 24-year-old suffered a high ankle sprain in last weekend’s victory over the Waratahs and is a late withdrawal from the match after being named in the starting XV yesterday.

Brown’s omission paves the way for Tamaiti Horua to return to number 8, where he started in Brown’s absence against the Crusaders and Sharks earlier this season.

Richard Stanford, who celebrates his 23rd birthday on ANZAC Day, has joined the reserves bench in the number 20 jersey.

The Emirates Western Force wrapped up preparations for the clash with their captain’s run training session at Subiaco Oval this morning.
