State 10's Tournament
The first official club rugby action commences tomorrow at Harvey field.
I haven't heard which clubs are participating. Palmyra will have one senior team and under 18 and 20 colts taking part.
I assume all senior clubs will have at least one team in it, and it will be an opportunity to see what other clubs have been able to put together over the summer, probably more so than with a 7's tournament.
Palmyra won't have much, there is little to show on the ground so far for any recruiting they may have done, but hopefully they will be competitive.
Palmyra have lost three key players over the summer, flanker Jerry Viriki with a torn achillies, halfback Dave Serekai with the same injury, and flanker and club captain George Sutherland with a busted knee. At the same time, Flip Manu has returned to Queensland to play for Souths, and dynamic back Taj Mailata is in New Zealand.
From what I've seen they are struggling for props, with only Hummer from last years front row available, and they will miss the height of tall lock Chris Rankin, out for a knee reconstruction.
I'm told Cottesloe have players coming out of their proverbial, and Kala and Wanneroo have spent squillions on recruiting, so these three will probably be the teams to beat.

Nedlands and Uni wont be there as they are playing each other in a trial match. Soaks will be missing aswell at senior level.
-
Uni have enough players for a trial match?
-
Bayswater entered 2 teams
-
-
yes they picked 2 evenly matched teams on Thursday night
Do you know what time it starts and what time the final will be
-
All I know is that Pally's first game is at 11, Pieter.
