Sitiveni Sivivatu could miss the rest of the Super 14 and be ruled out of rugby for the rest of the year if his visit to the specialist on Thursday ends negatively.

The Chiefs and All Blacks will have their fingers crossed that he will be able to play on and not be ruled out.

The winger is having ongoing problems with his left shoulder and has suffered repeated dislocations during the Super 14 which has seen him spend long periods on the sideline.
