Kalamunda Club Preview, Round 5

Peachey back to lead charge.

Returning from injury to lead the LJ Hooker Kalamunda Bulls against Palmyra on Saturday, Bulls’ Captain Matt Peachey will add to the impressive forward pack of Kalamunda. Peachey, who has consistently been a star performer for the Bulls in previous seasons, will enhance the Kalamunda team with his skills and hard charging style of play.

Both teams come into the game with mixed results to date however the Bulls’ supporters will be confident following their strong win last Saturday. Palmyra had started the season well, however their form has faltered in the last two weeks and they come into this game after been soundly beaten by last year’s premiers Wests-Subiaco.

Bull’s coach Tim Kacimaiwai reported that the players were developing a better level of self-belief and looked forward to the next step.

“The high number of injuries suffered in the Round 1 knocked us of our feet early but the boys have recovered and put together a solid effort last week” said Kacimaiwai, “The onus now is on the players to retain their intensity and desire for the full 80 minutes and eliminate the mistakes that plagued our early games”.

Other games on Saturday start with the Genesis Recruitment 3rd Grade taking on Palmyra, the only other unbeaten team in their grade. The 3rd Grade team has been very strong to date and will need to play to their full potential to come home with the points.

Also playing on the day will be the Midland Brick Colts, Retravision 2nd Grade taking on their counterparts from Palmyra and the Kalamunda Women’s Team playing against Bayswater.

The Premier game will be cheered on by the Powerdrive Kalamunda Cheer Girls, with the club launching a new initiative on the day in the “Supporter of the Day Award” which will be awarded to the most colorful and vocal home supporter.
