I think chucky has done enough to retain the 10 jersey next week, or should joc automatically get it back?... Is sheehan due to return next week?

how can u possibly take chucky out of 10, finally the team has some direction and attack.
JOC on the bench, impact player, to wrap the game up
Backline for the rest of the season : Brett S, Stannard, JOC, sIDLEY, Smith, Cumminns, Delitt
Don't get me wrong, I like Sheehan, but perhaps some of our new found attacking flair is to do with the quicker service we are getting from Mark Swanepoel. I know more than a couple of times this season we've seen very very very slow ruck ball from Sheehan when it could have been fed to the backs much quicker.
Now that doesn't necessarily mean we should bench him, but maybe we could play around having him sub off around the 50-55 minute mark and get Swanny on to try and up the ante on attack.
I doubt there would be much support for this, but I think Chukka is making a late claim for a Wallaby Squad position. He would provide a great counter option to the modern "flairhalf".
Sheehan has been slow when the forwards have been organizing pods to set up drives(seemed to be a strategy pushed by the coach) or when we're outplayed at the breakdown(like any 9 would struggle). When we get clean ball and have the will to run and push the ball wide the delivery has been fast. The reds game at the start of the season is a good example even though it didnt translate to scoring try's. Graham just needs to manage him better as his decision making and execution deteriorates with fatigue. Like you say theres no reason for graham not to sub Sheehan off with swanny proving he is capable.
Definitely continue Stannard at 10. jOC will be happy about that. Chucky wont cut out JOC of the attack like Ripia does and with the way Chucky questions the defence it will be great to see JOC outside of him.
The game plan is a little over cautious on the attack - suspecting that the slow ball is the force lads being a little anal under confident and making sure everyone is in position to make the most of it - when Brownie came on he just went and no one followed the frist time after that the momentum of the game changed - not good at explaining but something like that.
JOC for 12 - we're a funny team we have never done well with star players the strength of the Force has always been as a team Chucky at 10 and I hope he gets a pay rise.
Agreed. Chucky at 10 and JOC at 12. Can't wait to see it in action!
Chuck 10, JOC 15, Sidey 12, Paddy 13.
If Shep not fit.
Otherwise Shep at 15, JOC 12, Sidey to the bench.
I'm not a Cooper fan, I think he's a monkey with a decent sidestep who needs to hit the tacklebags before waltzing into the position he seems to be to be given every week, and I'd like to see Chucky given a chance after Cooper spews a load of missed tackles in the first Trinations match. Hopefully Cooper gets a wake up call that you CAN'T play international rugby without being able to make a tackle, and it'd be nice to have some variety in the flyhalf choices we've got.
I'm keen for some Stannard RWC style !
just keep the same 9 and 10.
My team for next week:
Longbottom
Charles
Fairbrother
Wykes
Sharpe
Hodgson
Pocock
McCalman
Swanepoel
Stannard
Cummins
JOC
Dellit
Smith
Shepherd
Whittaker
Dunning
Hocking
Brown
Sheehan
Inman
Mafi
There will be no A Fingers, Ioane or Lucas. And Robinson is out too. We will have had them in the forwards regardless and now I think our backs should win too.
Force by 10.
My only change would be Sidey in for Inman.
Swanny needs to tighten up his passing though.. too often he'd pass where he thought the 10 would be only to find Chucky was already 5m in front and the ball had to be collected by Dellit and we lost big metres...
