they can use the 5 years to come up with a better name
Meh..
Feel sorry for those who wanted it and for the Juniors having the dreams of a local path realised as our local Union kids have had.
Message to EWF, get yea cheque book to the Juniors Clubs...
Problem is it wasn't a yes or no. The ARLC has said it will do a full review into expansion at the end of 2014 so all the bids will continue spending money
Aaaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh
Ive got a mate who's bought cap, and had membership stuff sent to him ..etc etc.etc... what a debacle..:(
I agree with Burgs, the battle of the codes is not going to get any easier. This gives RugbyWA a rare opportunity to consolidate the player base for the Force - assuming of course it is interested in developing local talent?
Not really - at best it is a stay of execution. Unless an ARC gets organised before then, all junior development will be wasted the moment the League expansion does happen. Once they can offer the talent $20k and the chance to stay here, as opposed to nothing at all for the next few years and the prospect of having to move to Sydney....
Apparently the West Coast Pirates may be entering a side in the NSW Cup
Not the NRL but at least it's a start
That would be a good move. The Q Cup would be better. NRL franchises are coming to realise T Cup is falling short in developing NRL "ready" players. Hard to see EC clubs wanting to use WA as a reserves team though. Maybe Melbourne could if they were given inducements.
