Not 1 news item about Rugby at all this week either on the home of the Wallabies..
just sent to 7 Perth and Inside cover of West
problem with writing to the worst is that they are in peace talks with 7. since 7 don't want rugby to exist here, they may use their "influence" to crush any support for it. at least until someone burns down every ch 7 building.
The last Inside Cover made a fairly snide remark along the lines of 'The West has a cross-media relationship with Channel 7. It does not have a cross-media relationship with Foxtel, who show the game live.'
Suggests to me that:
a) The West's editor did not read the whole article
b) The Inside Cover journo sympathises, or at least recognises why rugby fans are so annoyed.
free to air tv is in love with afl
and they are constantly b!tch fighting over it
as far as they are concerned it is the only sport in australia (cricket excepted)
this is why it has such a grossly inflated Tv rights deal
rugby union and rugby league suffer as a result
nah.....no such thing....Channel 7 Perth is a sponsor of the West Coke Eagles.
Plus GAYFL has the money to pay under the table!!! We just need good assassins!!:D
Well in a very heartening trip to work this morning, I did not see a single Eagles or Dockers jumper, however I did see Wallabies jerseys, scarves and a few blokes next to me at the lights discussing the game.
i have seen plenty of Wallabies jerseys around town over the past few weeks and f**k all Eagles or Dockers jerseys.
Wake up and smell the air C7
