Having Daylight Savings in Western Australia is:
...not going to happen :D
till the next time
Well Colin Barnett doesn't wait long, he's already on to extending shopping hours. Far out why he couldn't he be this fast at getting the ball rolling on other things like....our freakin stadium!!
the referendum on extended trading hours was from 9 until 9 every night and 7 days a week wasnt it?
i dont think thats really fair. i remember working in retail. i hated working thursday nights (partly because it was when all the emos and goths came out from their bat caves and knifed each other around the carpark...) but partly because i didnt get home until late. which sucked if i had an assignment to finish off or a test to cram for
i dont have a problem with sundays though. and the city should be open until 7 on a sunday.
the option? that gives centre management the power to force their tennants to be open, or risk fines or non-renewal of lease
do we need a referendum to change the trading hours? if we do i think we should do it at the next election. not have another one off like yesterday.
to do it democratically though? people should be able to have a voice in this kind of stuff. if we legally dont need one. i think its good we still get the choice. even if there is going to be a dissapointed party after the end of the counting
