Holy shit what an ending. England have 4 in 4 overs. Can Aus hold on?
El collapso for Australia! Fark the poms will be going off!
I think he'll need the Philosopher's Stone to pull this one off.
You couldn't script that shit! Had to be him. Amazing end to one of the best series
I know the majority that will say the Poms were the better team overall. But, Aus have the urn! Although, retention doesn't feel that great
Thank god for the English weather!
One of those things I could probably look up but...
Are the Ashes effectively contested for four separate trophies?
The first two being semantics, the original urn that stays in the museum and the replica that travels.
I thought there was also the larger silver cup that seems to float around in the media, however, just looking at a press promo shot of Cummins and Stokes where there is also a large crystal urn?
Ploise explain?
Well, at least one must be the 'Moral Ashes', but not sure which one. Maybe the silver one, with the crystal being the Spirit of Cricket decanter...?
The crystal urn was first given as a trophy in lieu of the Ashes Urn I think in 1999/2000.
Hadn't seen the silver trophy before.
Let's see how well this one ages-
