"concessions for recruiting a foreign-based wallaby" - Force => Giteau... go for it!!!
Reds are probably paying $1.05 under the cap for Hunt as well. Money well spent.
agree with shasta georgina robinson should get a medal for expossing the A R U for what they are no other media outlet mentioned it
After today's article in the Sunday Times, it's hard to believe that the ARU even contemplated Hunt being allowed to stay in rugby let alone the Reds let alone this ridiculous money! He's well and truly done a snow job on the ARU! And why has Pulver been so quiet on all rugby issues this week? Haven't really noticed any comments from him re the Wallabies, have the good Ol boys at ARU told him to stay in his office until Cheiks gives him his instructions?
Hunt should be sacked and released and asked to pay back his entitilments for the last season.. He was on channel 7 tonight but did not see the interview about him ratting out his mates.... He used so get out and the lying will stop.. I think he has been released fro wallabies to go into hiding as drug dealers are one of a kind rat me and will get you..
I think it's probably because she's an actual journalist rather that the typical club fanboys that we usually see in the role. She wants to report the news but she also happens to support the tahs.
I don't see any particular denigration of the practice, rather she seems to silently applaud the move as a smart application of a hitherto unnoticed loophole in the ARU contracting protocols. I don't have a problem with the Tahs making the most of an existing loophole, my problem with it is that I reckon the loophole was written specifically at the request of the Tahs in order to cover up their obvious and extensive rotting of any kind of salary cap. To field a starting team that contains 1 player that isn't a current Wallaby is unconscionable in the context of a competition that runs a salary cap.
Let's get it right, she is a Tahs supporter first and foremost and a journo a distant second, and the only reason it was written is to justify the questions being asked from parts like here about why the Tahs can do what they do. If it was found that they had breached salary cap rules, I doubt the story would be so quick to be written.
But in saying that she is one of the better journos about.
Georgina Robinson is a born and breed Queenslander......she talks the tahs up because that's her readership eg the smh
I'm born and bred New South Welshman................just sayin'
The sad thing is the game will never progress or grow in Australia with the muppets running the ARU being so NSW centric. I understand the importance of keeping Folau in the code but the Tahs should have to fund it from there salary cap. It seems all the ARU polices are designed to give the Tahs a leg up.
Should see him on tour then!
The things him and Bert have gotten upto...
