Oh how i love you gold membership:)
Egan, are you an investigative journo or something!!
I made my previous point with the concern of not as many members taking up their option to renew, when in the 2nd season after our signings etc I would have thought that we may be better off now more so than this time last year.
I like to source my own articles for www.austadiums.com which involves a lot of investigating.
Was able to get quite a bit of information today, so tommorow I will be ringing up if the leads I got get me anywhere.
Will keep the whole force forums updated as I have been of late.
Lock if you wish to see my articles, which uncovered the truth behind the delays in Rushton Park and Members Equity Stadium's redevelopment, just message me, I have quite a few articles I have written
Cheers
Egan.
I'd love to read those Egan!!!
Well austadiums.com has been following the saga since we announced exclusively that Members Equity Stadium would be redeveloped for the Western Force.
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=103
We then reported it would start in October 2005 in time for the Western Force's second season
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=137
We then said that the starting date had been delayed till February 2006
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=145
5 months later, we revealed exclusively that the plans for Members Equity Stadium had changed
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=190
In November 2005 we reported that the whole project had been thrown up in the air by the request for the Force and that there would be no quick announcement of extra funding, due to the 3 year contractual commitments to Subiaco Oval
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=198
I then broke the information that Allia Holdings and the conflict of interest was a major reason why the stadium development had been delayed and had nearly forced the WARL to put the NRL game scheduled at MES to the WACA
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=213
I then got WARL's perspective on whether we needed a 25,000 seat stadium
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=215
In June 2006 I reported on the plans at that present time on the Members Equity Stadium Redevelopment, with two articles on the redevelopment and the current plays taking place in the redevelopment of the venue.
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=243
http://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=244
So as you can see, I am the leading source of information on the Members Equity Stadium redevelopment and will continue to try and seek information for Force members, because the populace of Western Australia deserve to know what is going on with the redevelopment.
Unfortunately the leads I got, nobody knew anything, but there is a possibility that I may have an article, just depends on the email.
But I can give you a whole force exclusive about the Members Equity Stadium redevelopment.
The Major Stadia Taskforce are presently looking at concept plans for a 25/30,000 stadium which is less then 35,000 but hopefully enough for the Force.
Once again, will let you know as soon as possible when I gain more information on the redevelopment.
At the moment, I doubt whether I could get an article up, but you can feel safe in knowing that the Taskforce is investigating the concept plans at the moment.
Thanks for your continued readership
Chris Egan

for a second there I forgot which forum I was on....
Hehehe sorry about that Coach.
Just Happy wanted to see the articles, and instead of posting up two messages with the articles for two people...I thought I would just post them on the forum, so those who wanted to read the articles could.
Just to restate that concept plans for the redevelopment of Members Equity Stadium for a capacity of 25 to 30,000 are currently being considered by the Major Stadia Taskforce.
I reckon that they need to get some balls and build something like this :D

Least there would be no dramas getting a sideline seat then!!!
Take out the bottom rung and they could play cricket or AFL and everyone would be on top of the action.
Or this and in the off season it could double as a rainwater tank!

They have between 107,000 - 112,000 people at every home game for Michigan (college football). The amazing thing about that is the population of the city is 114,000.Quote:

Looking through the listings on World Stadiums it's amazing the size of these College Grounds.
I wonder if we will ever get a stadium.
It seems to be a drawn out saga.
And, when it starts construction, when will it be finished....2011???
