So you whinge about not getting Force players. Then they are not welcome when they do?
I have absolutely no objection to any player who is registered with a club, and qualified to play for that club within the competition rules, playing for that club in the finals.
Stepping outside the competition rules is another matter altogether, as RugbyWA will soon discover.
Piston, what Palmyra does about having or not having Force players is no concern of yours.
Unregistered guest, I suggest you reserve your impertinence for those people and those issues about whom and which you have some familiarity and some knowledge.
UWA 38 - Kala 17
UWA 38 - Kala 17
Kala's chances of a last round victory were severely hampered early on in this match with refereeing consistency nowhere to be found. Once again Mr Sherriff allowed one team to do whatever they pleased while at the same time penalising the other team whenever they went into any ruck. To compound the situation of utter confusion and frustration no dialogue was entered into by the referee to allow Kala the chance to comprehend what was so wrong with their approach to the contact area. Unfortunately this led to a disappointing spectacle as the game was robbed of much of its contest with UWAs errors the only thing stopping the score blowing out thanks to the referees interpretation of what a ruck contest is. With UWA comfortably ahead the intensity went out of the game with Kala were able to pull back a couple of late tries.
Luke Burton was outstanding for UWA with some magical touches which caused some mayhem for Kalas defence.
Lowlight was Kala having 2 tries disallowed due to poor reffing.
31st consecutive year Neddies in the finals.
How many premierships
well we haven't being playing for 120 years, unlike Cott:)
I think you will find that Cott were being generous in that the Batavia, crewed by the Dutch East India Company 1st XV, known as the zeemeeuws) did actually land at Harvey Field (Harvey Veld as named by Francisco Pelsaert, the opperkoopman on the ship and the starting hooker) in late May 1629 and had a run against an Indigenous team with the Gulls running out 45-5. Ariaen Jacobsz, the ship's skipper and outside center ran in a hat trick and Jeronimus Cornelisz slotting 8 from 8.
As you all know, the celebrations got a bit out of hand with the crew running aground on Morning Reef whilst on their way to the Darwin 7's. This actually makes Cott 384 years old... but no one believes that one either
some clubs choke right from the beginning of the season
Oh, I guess we should do the politically correct thing since we are in election mode and look at all the negatives, failures, chokes and find somewhere to hide in a hole.
Maybe try something new Westie and Kalafan and actually give credit where credit is due, it may actually be good therapy. Have either of your clubs got a record even close to that?
Westie well knows where their 4 premierships in a row came from - the great neddies raid, not from Wests grown product.
