So players aren't allowed to have beers in the off season now?
It's not the act of having a beer that is the problem, it's the act that is performed once said beers have been had that remains the problem.
So alcoholics should be encouraged to go back on their promise to get off the piss?
I think Kurtley isn't the average case of a player having a couple of coldies in the off season....particularly in light of the way the JOC drama was handled. There's a precedent there, if you're a Wallaby, and you're making a drunken nuisance of yourself, you can expect not to have your contract renewed.
JOC didn't get his contract torn up, but he did take an early release and not get a renewal........surely that's the standard which Kurtley should be held to!
There's certainly a case that KB can't handle alcohol too well at times. I know he's had to fess up to having a problem and to seek counselling for it. But an alcoholic who can never learn to handle his drink? Maybe but the jury's still out. For me anyway. Time will tell.

I hope the Tahs don't play Folau out of position, just to accommodate this bloke! McKenzie should make a noise if the Tahs move him to centres. Kurtley should have to fight for his spot if they want him at fullback.
