CRAP. Lets hope he trips over and breaks his jaw. Thats the only way to shut him up now. I don't even want to think about the sh*t that will flow out now!!!!!!!!!!
i just don't want to talk about it... full credit to mandine though.. he won 11 rounds, looked fitter, fought a technically correct fight and did the job his mouth said he would!
Now he has to go on and beat Kessler - will I be supporting him when he does that - that's a hard one !!!
Well kinda Happy, he actually said he would destroy Green, I think he was a fair way from that.
Also think that, while he definately won the fight on the night, the commentary weren't giving the same wraps for Greens punches as for Mundines, which was evidenced by the difference between Kostyas "card" and the final scores.
Will I be supporting him?
Yes, I think I will support Kessler to take his head off, Mundine is the most un-Australian Australian I have ever seen in sport and will never have my support.
He is an idiot of the highest order and it saddens me to see greats like Lionel Rose in his camp.
Who the hell has a rap song written about themselves.... :S
apart from an early round knock down - winning 11 out of 12 rounds on the most is destroying someone ... but anyway, no I think you're correct - no matter where he goes I'll be cheering for the opposition!! lol
OMG burgs that is exactly what i said when he came out ... i was like ... ummmmm... its raaaap ... eeep!!! .... he coulda had a didgereedoo or something :D ... I personally liked greens intro music :D ... was good to see yay!!
From Ch9......YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!
"There's bigger fish to fry. I've got to stay grounded and make sure my work ethic is the same as for this fight. I want to take an axe to a mosquito, whoever I fight," he said.
In the post-match warm-down last night, a relaxed Mundine had a message for his fans and for the Australian's who haven't warmed to him in the past:
"I'm the most dynamic, prolific, scientific, artistic, charismatic, flamboyant, impeccable athlete — in the past, present and the future. :S
"The Australian public, I don't hate you all. You got a love me man, I'm one of your own." :barf:
His trainer Roy Jones Snr spoke of a more grown-up Mundine in the pre-fight build-up.
That new found maturity, the quiet confidence — and dare we say signs of humility —should be more than enough for the Australian public to get behind him.
Motor mouth he may be , but the man is still the man.Never looked like losing even though about 19,999,999 Australians hoped he would .Anyway, he and Green did a mighty service for Palmyra, about 300 members and guests turned up at the club out of nowhere to watch the fight on the big screen ,even though the screening wasn't advertised and was only really intended as a players' get together. How do people get to know about these things? No riots afterwards, no pissheads getting stuck into each other, just a great night. Bring on the rematch.
not being advertised is the secret!!! keep the dickheads away!
I heard Mundine being interviewed this morning...what a bloody numbnut. You've gotta respect his boxing skills but somebody should gag the idiot when he's not in the ring.
Sad state of affairs when I have more respect for Hopa than another person :S
Anyone else see that fight? He was awesome!!!
Yeah John "King of the Ring" Hopa was in fine form!Quote:
