i was only LISTENING to it, and it was horrible!
As PDV would say " Australia lost that match everywhere except for the scoreboard."
When interviewed Horwill said that Australia won by "hard work".
Really? You think there wasn't an element of luck in there anywhere? Bring that sh*t against the ABs and see where all Pocock's hard work will get you.
The Wallabies have to play smarter rugby than that. If the Boks hadn't dropped the ball so often, or the ref had missed the forward pass (because that's never happened, eh?) it'd be the Wallabies on the next plane home. On the basis of that performance, the Wallabies should be worried about losing the 3rd place play-off.
We didn't deserve to win it but we did, Springboks must be gutted! Now we need to regroup for next week
Very lucky to get away with that one but a wins a win. Something that made me happy to hear was that every Team to win the world cup did so by knocking out the previous winner so here’s hoping that trend continues!
It's not the first time in the history of Rugby that a team has dominated and not won.
But if we concede similar amounts of possession and territory to the All Blacks we will lose by 50
There were a lot of positives to take from that game, but also a lot of negatives. QC... trying too hard to be fancy without getting the basics right first and Ginea constantly pissing around at the base of the ruck/maul/scrum. The two of them have had better games. JOC & Beale were great, however.
yeah, we had really missed Pocock. Genia played fairly well, he just has to be more careful around the base of the ruck... Cooper should have been pulled. Thank God JOCs kicking was better.
The all black were good against The argies, though not absolutely dominant, so that is a good sign. Gonna be a tough one that's for sure. At least we get to see two more wallabies matches! Another positive is that we knocked PDV out of the media. It is interesting to read what the Saffa players say about him, i wonder if it is just politically correct to say that he was a good coach. i think he won 30, lost 18, so not particularly bad stats, though he was coming of a world cup winning team.
here to next week!
Have to agree with John Eales clsiong line today:
Quote:
There are many ways to win in rugby, I don't think I've seen one quite like that.
I'll have to watch it again, it should be a bit easier next time knowing that it has a happy ending.

Miracle victory so lets focus on the positives for next week.
reasons we can win
1) Pocock
2) Lineout will never be that bad again
3) Cooper will hopefully not be that bad again
4) No Carter or Slade
5) McCaw carrying an injury
6) ABs have never beaten us in WC
7) THE CHOKE
The have called in Donald and Gear... i would love for Donald to Start! :yeah:
