Game for game (with the rider that I haven't seen any Brumbies this year) I think JP still offers the best options for the Wallabies.
A fully up and running Cannon would be a close second.
Probably then back a bit to McIsaac.
Hardman and Freier well behind that lead group.
Moore and Polota-Nau are the two that we should be pouring resources into for the future however, Saia Faingaa might just be the bolter to come through to beat them to the NZ 2011 #2 jersey, just season to soon to make that call yet. With Palavi's retirement, and JP finishing this year, by '08 he may well be starting for the Brumbies.
Haven't seen enough of Holmes to rate him either way as yet.

I have to agree with Burgs, JP, Canno then Tai who may still regain top form yet...

Checkout the Super14 Fantasy Competition on
http://s14fantasy.foxsports.com.au/
every player is rated on their performance and scored statistically (my guess from the foxsports statisticians)...so gives a pretty good indication of who is playing better than whom in positions at the moment.
They have the hookers in the following order at the moment:
(Australian teams only)
Paul
Hardman
Freeir
Polatu-Nau
Cannon
Moore
Fainigaa
McIsaac
or thereabouts (have to weed all the safas and K1s out of it apologies if i missed any)
Our boys will have been caned for the poor performance of the lineouts last week.
Stats are built up on points for runs, lineout wins, tries etc and against for errors, not straights etc.

My money isn't strongly placed at the moment, but I bet the best Hooker in Oz is wearing ocean blue. I'll give ya that for nothin'

I'd vote for Cannon, with that young guy I can't spell or say (or even be bothered looking up!) Polata-Nau? (did I get it right) as his understudy.
Paul (as I said before) I don't rate, Moore had a pig of a game on the Euro tour, Tai, I think his age is against him and I'm in agreeance with Burgs on Frier (players never engender themselves when they bitch about selections to the media)
Oops made this post without realising there was a second page of posts to refer to. My opinions (as limited with knowledge as they are!) don't change however.
PS I almost got Polota-Nau right!

Yeah Burgs is on the money, JP is in front for mine. No one is really putting their hand up for #2 at the moment.. Polota-Nau looks the goods for me as long as long as he can learn to throw the ball straight!!
