X, any recommendations of things to do, places to eat/drink?
Sheikh - I appreciate the question. Problem is, I haven't lived in Geraldton since May 1990. My last visit was at least 6+ years ago when my Grandfather passed away and I flew back for the funeral.
The best I can do is contact my cousins and get their recommendations....
.... they said:
Accom: Mantra or the Gerald, Lattitude 28 (Book now!!!) Don't leave it too late - accommodation is being booked out very early. He Seriously recommends booking accommodation now. Be very careful where you park your car!!
Food: Salt Dish
Drinks: Gerald, Lattitude 28, Cuttler & Smith
I hope this helps
Cheers, X,
I'm at the Sails (the Gerald was a bit pricey), and it's a ~15-20 min walk to the ground and what seems to be the main strip (where the Gerald, Salt Dish and Cuttler & Smith are). Google reckons L'Attitude 28 has shut down.
Why careful about parking - bogans or parking wardens?
HMAS Sydney Memorial should be on the to do list :approve:
Controlled border is coming down on February 5 at 12:01am as per the Emperor's press conference this afternoon
So given the border doesn't open until 1 day after the game what does this mean? If coming from QLD under current rules they will have to isolate for 14 days. I doubt they would go through that just for a practice game?
I know the promotion of the game is still going full steam ahead but what are the chances of it happening?
Do they maybe bump it a day from the Friday to the Saturday?
The game is now cancelled. Very sad indeed.
the local event organiser Tom Gorman announced its cancellation on the Sea of Blue Facebook page.
Tom is still planning on running all the Junior "camps" on Saturday along with the support of Classic Wallabies
