I thought Chuckie played his guts out last night. I'm proud that he took chances and kept the opposition guessing and most importantly, he was patient. He kept the pressure on and I was absolutely delighted that he scored that try. Sometimes his decisions paid off and sometimes they didn't. But that's what happens when you take chances, and we had nothing to lose and everything to gain so it was the time to try new things to see what works. It's all part of the learning curve for him too and given that he has not played for the Force for a number of weeks now (didn't get a run on against the reds) he did well to be as commanding as he was.
I sms'd his Dad to say congratulations and they're proud as punch and his mum cried she was so happy. Lovely lovely people.
Go Chuckie!
Oh and great win by the boys! Disappointed we didn't get that bonus point and my heart is sore from all this emotional exercise but what a result!
We certainly got our money's worth last night!
He's not a bad lad...
Mind you I think Georgie Porgie Ayoub is a bad lad for passing judgement on the knock on - not your job.
Now my beef is will any action be taken as Ayoub went beyond the bounds of his jurisdiction?
but what would we be looking to accomplish with that? its so unlikley they will give us the bonus point.
the TMO should know better and have advised that he was unable to answer that question and therefore the try stands.
if the ref had the stones to say there was a knock on in the first place, but now hes put himself and the TMO in an interesting posistion.
before that 'try' the ball also went into touch twice down the opposite end and corner of the field, it was not quickly thrown in. it was played on, the flag went up twice, but the ref didnt stop for the lineout or anything.
so hes in quite a bit of trouble i would say
maybe something will happen to Jonker, like that AFL ref with the dodgy bounce!
You should all be ashamed of yourself, it is common knowledge that refs can do no wrong...at least that's they way they view it, hence they are never held accountable for thier actions....
i dont hate refs much anymore because i reffed for the first time yesterday and i realised how hard it is. I dont have any sympathey for the video ref that sits on his arse all night though, that was useless decision and they know what they can and cant do.
anyway how is that a knock on, it went .000004 cm forward, is this touch rugby or what.
Ah the great inconsisteny of Super 14 rugby refereeing - a blight on this otherwise fine competition.
Well done Force - you certainly know how to claw a victory at the end of a match - unlike the Reds :verysad:
Maybe next year for us.
^^ I don't quite follow - the Reds match wasn't close at all.???
Anyway, are the Force a mathematical chance now?
But we have faith!
If you can get over the Hurricanes it would be a blockbuster against the Brumbies.
But I fear the Hurricanes will be too tough at home, with the smell of semi finals in their nostrils.
