Interesting theory...like when they thought the world was flat
I'm sure you remember it well
Watching this on replay, a couple of things are evident.
Firstly, the Tahs are sharper, but I'm not sure that the difference is night and day.
Rebels aren't winning the contact, the reason is hard to judge, maybe the Thas were complacent last week, maybe the Rebs were playing out of our skin.
Tahs have too much time to run, Debreczeni has been kicking cruise missiles, but there's no chase. Tahs look good when they have room to wind up, but are still falling apart if they don't have time to get up to speed.
Tahs are doing a good job of walking the line between lying on the ball and slowing the ruck down legally. Gus Gardner seems to be OK with a messy breakdown, because both teams are getting away with rolling away slowly.
Don't let Israel Folau catch a deep ball without somebody in his face....it'll hurt you.
Polota Nau seems to have spontaneous concussion, I can't see the head clash in the replay and he looks like he was out before he hit the ground.
Added to that, tahs scrum is no better than last week, but being reffed a little better. They aren't getting away with collapsing, redirecting and boring in when under pressure.
Couple of WA boys showing how well we play scrum in the west!
Apologies to Pat Leafa, I thought Cruze was on
