How about a 2007 Players cap with the TWF web address on the back of it? ;)
They are very popular up here with fans and players alike. I have several, although I do wear a cap more often.Quote:

Actually, Larry, we stopped wearing visors in the early middle ages when our ancestors stopped going on Crusades.

I suspect it's something from Egyptian times and linked into the various Crowns that the Pharoahs wore.
A term "Crown" (as in "Cap Crown") first appears in the Second Intermediate Period determined with the symbol of the cap, suggesting its derivation. The cap appears either without decoration, with horizontal lines or with circles and is worn with uraeus. Coloured representations are blue or gold (:force: colours!).
The only surviving cap, on the mummy of Tutankhamun is of white linen, embroidered with gold & faience beads. Its use in representations of the cult has let to its being interpreted as the headdress of the royal or divine son. During the Amarna period, it can be worn by the queen, often complementing the Blue Crown. A similar shaped blue cap is worn by the god Ptah.
