I'd be deeply sceptical. If there was even the remotest possibility, RA would have long since leaked it and they'd already be wheeling out the team song.
Sacre bleu
Fresh from unveiling Simon Cron as their incoming coach, the Western Force are on the cusp of announcing Folau Fainga’a as their next big recruit.
The Wallabies’ first-choice hooker is set to leave the Brumbies and join the Force on a one-year deal. He might not be the only Wallabies regular to leave at season’s end either, with fullback Tom Banks garnering massive interest in Japan.
It’s a shrewd bit of business from Rugby Australia because they risked losing the rake, who had been offered a deal to join to French Top 14 club Lyon.
Had he gone overseas, it would have meant Australia’s three best hookers would be playing in France, with Brandon Paenga-Amosa joining Tolu Latu in the competition this season.
Instead, the Force, who are the most active recruiters in Super Rugby so early in the season, are strengthening their depth in the front-row and his retention has him primed to go to his second World Cup.
He will join first-year skipper and Wallabies rookie Feleti Kaitu’u at the club, leaving Cron with a big decision to make over who starts in the No.2 jersey.
Dave Wessels made a mistake when he parachuted former Wallaby Adam Coleman into the role when the duo left the Force and joined the Rebels in 2018 and the cultural shift caused some unnecessary friction when the incumbent was relegated.
With the impending departure of Fainga’a, the Brumbies can afford to keep their rising stars in the hooker position.

TBH, that one-year deal doesn't hugely impress. FF is a good player but not a great one and he has one eye on the departure lounge.
Hopefully they're planning for his replacement before he's even arrived...
That article mentions Latu as a top hooker option for Australia but sadly his career is in trouble (due to the booze which is not really a surprise). He might even be run and done.
Nevermind the second cheap shot and hefty suspension Latu is serving this year. Diabolical the hit on the player in the air for the 12 weeks he's just been given>
NSW junior so he's obviously one of the best ever produced.I can't understand why you don't see it.Just like Hooper, he will be credited with redefining his role so that the mongs who pump his tyres aren't wrong.Henceforth the role of hooker will be seen as hard drinking, hard living enforcer who plays on the edge with massive physicality. Scrimmaging and lineout throwing aren't important, those roles can be covered by somebody else.Actually that stone could kill another bird if somebody could teach will Skelton to push in the scrum and throw to the lineout.
Looks like Kyle off to Lyon after SR 2022.
That article says he's only been offered 1 year deal. Has there been any announcment?

The Western Force can confirm that Kyle Godwin will be departing the club at the end of the season to join French Top 14 side Lyon.
Godwin, a homegrown product who recently made his 100th Super Rugby appearance, will continue as vice-captain of the club for the remainder of the current campaign.........
