Greater Western Sydney Waratahs? Kind of rolls off the tongue...
Well with the fantastic crowds that the Waratahs are getting it only makes sense to move things to Western Sydney. I mean gee, the stadiums are overflowing. And hell at least that way the poor players won't have to leave Sydney to go to training.
Bloody hell give me a break, the Forces management may well have made mistakes along the way but they have also been set up to fail by the ARU. It really is no surprise that rugby is our 4th most popular football code with how brain dead it is. Hand outs to lets see the Rebels, Reds and Waratahs all in recent memory, a fraction of that amount to WA and they are out with the big stick?
Take the Force away and rugby can get stuffed.
Western Sydney would probably be more of expansion market for Rugby Union than Perth
The segment last night on 360 was about a "Fantasy Headline", and Georgina (with tongue firmly in cheek) offered the headline of Western Force to Western Sydney. There was no factual evidence and no implied truth, it was a "Fantasy Headline".
Chill out dudes.
I would be more concerned about the substantiated claims that the QRU are looking at getting Quade and Will back now that that RG has finally left. Imagine how much that will costs to get them out of existing contracts!! This is actually a real possibility!
The ARU is looking at anyway to reduce spending and using all it money to retain Kb and as mentioned above get Wg and QC back.. I reckon that one reason some moved from the reds is due to all the Karmichael hunt crap.. QC ,,WG,, James H all made moves is they spent heaps on KH and they missed out on top ups as no money left then he was given a light sentence over the drug problem.. Was reading an article done by KH's wife and he use to go on benders often.. QRU and ARU shame on you
Also ARU can save heaps on travel as thy could use buses and trains for players
instead of planes
I refuse to chill, the east is the enemy, oh and I also broke the dam :)
I do however stand by that rugby union is run by general incompetence. Other football codes in this country seem to be able to accept making some sacrifices in the interest of the greater good. Not rugby however.
Dear Father forgive me because I may have sinned.......
This morning I vented on a dude (jay-c) who was dumping on the Force this morning on G&GR.
His reference was to "Foley's surrender monkeys".
"The Force has rolled the Waratahs 3 out of the past 4.
Not bad for your "surrender monkeys" - a squad showing <10 Test-experienced players with <100 tests between them compared to the Waratahs >500 test caps.
It took the Waratahs 7 years to make and lose their 1st SR Semi-Final.
Another 3 years to lose their first Final showing.
Then another 9 years to actually win their first Final.
How easy it is to forget.
And how easy it is to forget that Total player remuneration for the Waratahs is >50% more than what's available to the Force and the Tahs continue to benefit from the "special deals" for players such as Folau.
The ARU wouldn't even help the Force keep the Honey Badger.
But this is all irrelevant as haters just love to hate without any appreciation for building this great game; particularly within an AFL heartland."
What I should have added is that the Force only has to win two titles in the next 9 years and we'll be well ahead of the Tahs' effort.
GO YOU GOOD THINGSS!!!
IF you think that numbers don't matter then don't read any further.
Fwd Packs: Force 871kg; Brumbies 918kg (+47kg).
Rep Front Rows: Force 334kg; Brumbies 342kg (+8kg)
Mafi/Cottrell v Staniforth/Smiler - Equal kg.
Test Capped Players - Starting XV: Force 5 (76 caps); Brumbies: 12 (11 in Wallabies RWC)(350 caps)
TCP - Bench: Force 4 (30 caps): Brumbies 1 (2 caps).
Av Super Rugby Games - Starting XV: 49; Brumbies 67 (Most in Aussie teams)
ASRG - Bench: Force 52; Brumbies 24. (Expect a lift off the bench)
Our scrum usually goes into battle out-weighed so nothing new.
But when our guys are standing up against 6 current Wallabies then appreciate their efforts.
It's all about technique.
Easy to forget Foley's input into the scrums and the improvement K-Bomb showed under Foley.
The Brumbies Backs are effectively the Wallabies RWC line without B. Foley and Folau.
Our guys may make a few more mistakes than this crew.
Not everything will work. But I hope they keep trying!
Our defensive efforts have always been the foundation for our attack AND our best wins.
We now appear to have an improved attack.
Won't all the above make a good effort, perhaps a WIN even sweeter.
Can't wait......
