[I]I reckon McKenzie is on the outer after having the Reds stumble a bit this season, it makes him look like a flash in the pan, which the Woblies don't want at the moment
I reckon anyone would stubble with the Dick Graham dragging them down.

Re JOC return to Perth
I would wait until he changes his management before showing any real interest. A talented player no doubt but I think his current management setup is not doing him any good.
At least it isn't that Nasser idiot...
When he left Perth under a cloud of toxicity (for you RM) he was with IMG I think, now he is managed by his Dad (again I think?) IMG have the American mentality of smoke blowing up orifices which I think culminated in "Brand" Wank... Dad should have his boy's best interest at heart.
Yup I seem to recall it was his dad and brother that stuffed up negotiations...amateur hour stuff

I wasn't that close, only really hearing what was in the media and on this site, but does anybody really think an organisation as slick as IMG would continue to push so hard that the team tells him to piss off and find a job elsewhere?
They are masters at pushing just hard enough to get the maximum available dollar and then signing just before the offer is removed. Somebody at IMG would have been sacked if JOC was with them then!
Just fourth hand news and you may be right...
His old man is the problem
Can anyone shed some light on the situation re his management and his fathers credentials to handle the career of an elite sportsmen?
I know Shane Warne's brother was his manager for quite a period in his career
I would have thought it would have been advisable for him (depending on dads qualifications and suitability) for the role for him to have the right management group around him to allow him to focus on his primary role as a rugby player. Parents in my view should be their as a sounding board and a support network for their kid/s someone for whom they can go and get 100% unbiased feedback and advise about things he is doing well and what he isn't doing well
I remember when Vern Reid held a press conference to announce that he had ended negotiations with James he did say that negotiations had been conducted through James's lawyer and that he had found this to be an unusual way to conduct discussions (or words to that effect).
I would say that James has learnt from that experience and has moved on.
IF he were to return to the Force I would welcome him back, over the next few years he will develop and mature as a young man and his decisions on and off the field will improve because of it.
The way he left the Force was less than ideal but apart from that I don't recall any real dramas while he was here.
Probably time for us supporters to get over it and move on as well.
On last nights results if any ones looking for a coach Robbie Deans should be looking for a job.
"Rugby: Secret talks to replace Deans"
About f'n time.
Rebels have Justed named Tony McGahan as their head Coach for 2014

That would just about confirm McKenzie as Wallabies Coach...
