*sigh* That'll be one I'll be telling the grandkiddies. As much as I hated the decision, I couldn't bring myself to boo my own team.Quote:

What gets me is that we have waited so long to get this kind of rugby here, with the kind of int'l players that come here now to play high quality rugby that we all love, or we wouldn't go, & then boo some of the best players in the world when they run on, or take a kick. Now I am all for supporting our team & waving flags etc behind the goal posts when they are kicking but coming from a rugby backgound of 35 yrs I do get annoyed when people don't appreciate the game for the game. After seeing the dockers crowd booing Judd the other week I hope Rugby fans are better than that. After all look at Brittish soccer fans & Brittish rugby fans, they don't compare. So maybe we should show Aussie rules fans how to behave.
Leave the booing too the bottom end of the gene pool. DOCKERS FANS.
Aussie Rules fans are just people who are yet to experience Top Shelf Rugby. to know it is to love it
Well said herkit and welcome aboard!
Thanx Burgs, good to be here.

hahaha ... i think booing comes along with all sports ...take it or leave it ... I will sometimes find my self booing at the ref for stupid calls and deep sighs when we drop the ball ... but I have never booed the other team when we have lost ... I think if you do that it is showing the worst sort of sportsmanship ... its sooo low ... stupid freo fans ... they have lost all respect :P
I see people that Boo as being either sheep that follow the rest of the crowd or bad sports that are jealous of others that are better at rugby.
Fans that will boo anything are not not quite up to the task of using words instead of sounds.
As rugby is a more distinguished game than AFL, we should use our brains more to express our displeasure, with wit and sarcasm, not booing, which is a basic human action of neanderthal man. Comments such as 'are your eyes painted on sir' have always been more of a Rugby benchmark....However, i have booed before, ie the crusaders game, when the refs all got it wrong. So in extreme cases it should be OK, but it should never become a habit
Agreed completely.Quote:

Right back at ya Lonzy, I say awww come on a lot as well, and have been known to curse loudly at the tele as well.
Or my Personal Favorite; "They've been doing it all day Ref" - works particularly well within the first 5 minutes of play.
