that was in 2002 before the NZRU stabbed us in the back! joke was on them because we got a World Cup out of it. No one gets bored about hearing about the :force: on here ;)
Just because most of Kent St are AFL loving homo's
Brumbies for me too just because they had more wallabies than anyone else and I am the number 1 George Gregan fan. Wasn't a hardcore fan though.
When OMC called me while I was out shopping to tell me that WA had been given the 4th Australian Super 14 team I burst into tears of joy (confusing my fellow shoppers) and that was it for me. Force all the way ever since.
Still enjoy seeing the Brumbies win and although they're Australian, I take pleasure in seeing the reds and the tahs lose. Terrible!
I knew I liked you Jess! you are an excellent judge of character!
Great minds think alike GIGS. ;)
I usually go for the Aussie side when they aren't playing the :force: and when they do play the :force: it's on!!
I wish I did... I want to support them because they're Aussies... but I find myself cheering when they conceed a try...
I just can't help myself...
Each to their own Jess
no matter how much i hate Queesnland etc i always find myself cheering (in my head) when they score.
Except when they score against the Force.............then i find myself uttering words that I can't repeat on here...................
it was the auckland blues for me prior to the force coming along.......
I'm with Jess & Gigs on this one......supported the Brumbies in the Super12 (a great way to get rid of the Scottish hangover.....watching wall-to-wall rugby on a Saturday morning!). Not a fan of the Reds or Tahs at all.
PS - just watching the Chiefs v Tahs match from the weekend and Skippy was played as the Tahs ran out on to the pitch!!! :D
It was the Brumbies for me as well!
They play an exciting brand of Rugby still, a fantastic culture that Rod McQueen set up that still lingers there today.
It's good that we have recruited a couple of those guys as well - the mixture of Reds, Waratahs, Brumbies, overseas and now locals under Mitchell's guidance has produce a well balanced, skillful and competitive team.
A part of me always wants to cheer on the other Aussie teams (as long as they're not playing our beloved :force: ) but it's always midly painful when the Waratahs win- cos my mother tends to ring me to brag about it and then I just want her and my sister to choke on their own smug-gitishness
Yeah....I just can't seem to bring myself to be happy when the 'Tahs and the Reds are winning, (you may have picked this up in one or two of my posts) Don't get me wrong, once they pull on Wallby gold, they're the best players in the World, but in those mincing other colours, they just seem......I dunno.....crapper!
