I will be covering The Barbarians on March 8th for our rego/ social preseaon day. We also have Mandurah coming down on the 15th march so will get them to. i figure best option is to pin it up at the bar were everyone is quaranteed to see it!!!
Hopefully should get a few anyway!
OK - Thanks for the input - I'm sending the SPAM off now so that those with work email address will receive it before the weekend...
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, try to use black pens to get the signatures and if you are doing it at the games, have 3 or 4 spares in your pocket.
It's in the guidelines FT - thanks.
Emails sent, 10 bounces out of 51 messages though :(
I have 150 petition pages, and 50 of the other page
Ex is on that....I'm hearing that the response will be we're not going to stand in your way, but you won't get public endorsement!
That's OK, I've gotten over my initial disappointment to their reaction and understand that most of their funding comes from the Govt.....I can't see them standing in our way!
On a bright note. I got into Rocko at 10 and wandered around looking for a contact. Was met by a lovely young lady (Who apparently is a TWF member) who pretty much took the petitions all off my hands and said she'd get the young fellas to work on it! I'm home here before 11 and available to answer any queries that might come up. Dear Whoever you are.....Thanks a bunch for that, please post here identifying yourself, I can feel some good rep points coming your way!
The free time also gave me an opportunity to hit Rocko Sharks' Junior sign up...They've got a bunch of forms as well, so they'll be working on it too!
Damn, you are good gigs...
I agree with Frontrow...great job Gigs
i vote gigs is the next menber of the order of TWF coach.
he more than deserves it
got 26 signatures in the store so far. 22 from this morning. :)
If I go to the academy game this arvo I'll take a few sheets and a clipboard with me. Should get a few there.
ps. GIGS... have I told you lately how awesome you are?
Me and Badger got just under 3 pages. Some of the AFL people from their junior rego day signed it as well. I'm gonna take it to cricket with me and hopefully grab more :)
Handed out a few TWF cards as well
This is all fine and dandy Ra Ra Ra - but this very important initiative needs a strategic plan and implementation strategy.
The only way is to declare that rugby will now build its own stadium which will give them a heart attack as they have factored in the revenues of rugby as part of the financial model.
Without rugby they are stuffed.
That gets us a seat at the table and we negotiate from there - even putting up money if need be.
The selection of a high profile group of captains of industry as part of a high profile Advisory Board and men of action, will get this done.
The petition while all good is soppy and not decisive enough.
We need cut and thrust here and to be respected - not seen as some flaky tree hugger group with a pileof paper being delivered.
That moment lasts for 3 hours max - and 15 seconds of evening news.
