What?? Just because he spent most of his life around Bronte, going to school, uni, playing Rugby there and identifying as a Tahs/Randwick/Chooks supporter?
And just because he said, when he was running Tourism NZ, that was nirvana because Rugby is Numero Uno over RL does not mean a bloke can't return to Oz, run a dirty tricks campaign in a preselection stoush in the shire, win it and emerge as a Mungo loving Sharkie, does it??
Just like Albo - what you see is what you get. Simples.
Speaking of controversy, you mungo lot can thank my....great granduncle George Stubbs Brackenreg for his help (along with a few others like Victor Trumper) in setting up mungoball Down Under. Especially if you are a Rabbitohs supporter, because he allegedly had a big hand in their creation.
Fkn Queenslanders :verysad:
Absolute trash from NSW
Burton gets marched for viciously assaulting gagai's fist with his cheekbone
Now that was a match 1980's style, I was just waiting for the Chief and Blocker to come off the bench.
It was mostly their own stupid errors that lost the territory battle. That and some pretty astute kicking from the banjo players. I'm mystified why Talakai was penalised for a PTB error. I thought it may have gone the other way for interference. To me that was when the result slipped away.
Pretty sure Wighton, Mitchell & Turbo are locked in for 2023 with Jack at 5/8.
I wonder if Cleary will ever chip kick again? 😂.
That move was the best example all night of NSW players trying to win the game individually. Plus all the dropped ball and mistakes didn’t help.
Definitely a "Mungos Only' post here. I stumbled on this article today listing Saints' team of the century & greatest 100. Probably Chopper & I would be the only members who'd even remember him, but the mind boggles that they could possibly leave out Elton Rasmussen - particularly from the top 100. IIRC he played mostly 2nd Row and they obviously had to fit in Rod Reddy and Norm Provan. But he also played Front Row at times, where selecting him there ahead of Billy Wilson would be a matter of opinion. I don't remember Wilson really, so I'll leave that. But I remember Rasmussen as one of the very best forwards of that era so his non-inclusion is a bloody mystery.
......as is the journo missing the omission. Seeing as how he coached them for 6 years, not that long after.

Another stupid call after the full time siren in the Tigers v Cowboys game. The idiot need to to sacked.
That is almost the greatest stitch up I've ever seen in Rugby League. No surprise it's Ashley Klein in the Bunker.
The Banjo Players reckon the Blues don't have pride in the jumper. Apparently Manly have too much. ;)
