Rod Kafer now, all of a sudden, reckons folau is not "the best fullback in the world"
Is this the clearest documented instance of discrimination (treating somebody differently based upon their religious views) in the last ten years?
Kaf basically says that because of Izzy being the golden boy, who has to play to justify his pay check, they are playing people out of position. Therefore Wallabies are crap. Are they now considering playing people in their correct positions? Are they going to stop paying silly retainers to players that they then have to play to justify etc etc?
Not just Izzy "owning" positions...
Edit: Misread some of what you were saying Snob
I think there is still too much emphasis on certain players, offer the big bucks on performance based system, if you earnt starting position, you earn your pay, you drop in skill level you drop in pay
Here's a radical idea, drop the ridiculous contracts, use the same amount of money to create a match payment and performance incentive scheme and pick the team based on form.
So now that ‘all of a sudden’ it’s realised that Izzy wasn’t that great-maybe they can apply those realisations to a couple of other passengers on the team who don’t really achieve much.
This is all to keep Alan Joyce and Qantas on side...
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember the Rats Arse blaming the legal costs incurred fighting the Force for their losses that year. So if Izzy mounts his challenge I guess they will be able to blame him for further losses. Of course they could always cut a side to save money. Could they do it when the current broadcast deals end and new ones are negotiated, perhaps with just three Aussie teams. Now wouldn't that be fun.
