After four shitty throws by Red, we get called for not straigjt
They stuff around and throw it out the other side
Zac decides to play some Territory and we get one for holding on at the 10
Linux in the red zone, won at the back and mauled, but it stalls on the spot
Scrum wheeled the decision goes the other way
They're playing the offload game, knock on scrum on our 10 force feed
Burton runs a glorious line off the set piece and dumps it to zac, who toes it, forcing the to take it out on the 5
Pigs footy, followed by a stretch play left, zac nearly stuffs it by leaving the winger out to dry but stretches over for the meat.
38 19 kick to come
Unsuccessful, there's the whistle.
A good hit out after an easy start
Hodgo on crutches.... Shit
Had a word with files, the reaction for the twf faithful, happy to involve everybody from the squad, lots of good stuff in his eyes, he was pleased with the way the boys worked their way back into it after the momentum swung against them.
Hodgo sounds like some hamstring niggle, he'll get a scan and more will be known monday
None of the boys sound particularly pleased with the game and that's a positive for me, they're setting high standards and a win against an unknown quantity isn't enough
Tell you what, if the Dragons had been better at keeping possession it might have been a lot closer.
I was really worried seeing Hodgo on crutches.
And only being able to direct 30% of attention to the game, kids and beer made the 100%, I thought this;
- Mafi is a great buy
- I like Junior @ 12 and Kyle @ 13. Kyle seemed to have a lot more room. Junior just needs to tackle low.
- The first 20 with the starting 15 was good but the plays broke down as subs came in.
- Glad to hear they weren't happy, the middle forty was a worry
- There was less leadership as players swapped out and it affected the game attitude.
Thanks Gigs for the updates .. I hope all is well in the camp
once I discovered nobody was doing updates I was a little distracted too, however
isn't he just. I commented to Foles that he was going to be a monster in the open field and after a wry smile all I got was "yeah he's done some good things"
I'm not convinced, Kyle has a lot more room, but less time with the ball.....I know he wants the ball in his hands, but I also know hell do what the team needs of him. I think Junior is the litmus here, if he can't get more involved in a defensive capacity than he was tonight they need to swap back.
well yeah, but there were a bunch of subs on, and I think most of the subs had played at least 40 already. The attitude was stacked with high expectations, they aren't getting ahead of themselves at all, Tets was very down to earth about how much they respect the opposition, I even threw a comment in there about "at least you've got the Reds in week 2" and he didn't bite, not one little bit. They're all completely focused on working hard at this point.....bodes well!
yeah, last week the same phenomenon resulted in a free and open game which excited me, this week it resulted in a momentum shift which we had to sprespond to.....we di, and kept the scoreboard going in the right dimension.
You didn't mention Burto at ten. Once Sias handed him the reins, he was sublime.....green certainly, but he sparked a mountain of good stuf (not much of which was finished, but...) I like the lad and I'd be tipping him for a bolter into the team setup somewhere this year. He seems pretty versatile, and I don't know who hell be pressuring, but the entire backline from 10 upwards needs to watch their backs!
