Did anyone get to have a chat with Foley or Webbo?
A big thanks to Cheese, Mick Foley, Chris Webb and Nick Smith from the Western Force for making the effort to join us. I'm sure we all appreciated their frankness, humility, honesty and humor - especially when answering questions in regards to their previous coaching experiences :)
An equally big thanks to The InnForcer, the Publican and staff at :jbs: for organising and hosting the evening. I started TWF up with the intent of creating an online community - which as you all know is going great guns, but these guys and all "InnForcers" have given us a physical presence and reputation the envy of other teams and added real body and soul to us as a supporters group.
.. and let us not forget the tireless moderators who keep you mob in line and lighten the load on me which in turn keeps my wife and little folk happy #happywifehappylife - Travelling Gerry, Happy, Burgs and those mods of yore (Jehna, TQ1, Sage) :salut: I should also give a quick shout out to No.8 who gave me encouragement to go ahead when I initially had the idea starting TWF back in 2005.
Lastly - thanks to you lot. To those that joined us last night, to those that didn't, to those that contribute and to those that just lurk in the background.
You're so bad Jono!!! :D
Yes mate, Brumbies in Darwin and also a match in Mandurah, which could be the biggest InnFORCEers Tour ever (road trip)
The "you heard it here first on TWF" line of the night was when Michael Foley said that they "hadn't given up hope for Sharpie playing against the Lions". I assume with it being a "scratch match" and he is still part of the organisation and fit enough, there is no reason why not.
Spoke to Cheezy about a Golf Day for 65 Roses around the Lions window as well :approve:
Thanks everyone for coming along!
Well after watching and listening to Foley speak again, I must say that he comes across as a breath of fresh air. No crap, no promises just his thoughts and what he wants out of the team and supporters. As a player, if you can't bring out your best for him you never will. As a supporter, if you can't get excited by listening to him you never will. Bring on 2013!!!! IMO
