There's every chance of that when they include the players who were "hidden" by Jamie Joseph this year. I was pretty impressed with the way Panasonic played at NIB earlier in the year and I'll be more than a little disappointed if a Japanese team is not among the 6 GRR franchises. The interest created by the Cherry Blossoms - especially among non-Rugby people - should give the comp great impetus if a team from there is included. (be the icing on the cake if Michael Leitch wer available to play on as captain). And it will be one more demonstration of the blinkered view of the empty heads at SANZAR HQ.
i know Petaia will be a great player but to start him is a BrainF..K idea i hope i.m wrong but look who he is facing
Keep it up Mr Taylor. Couldn't agree more
And so we say Sayōnara to the Wallabies as they crash from the World Cup.
We also say goodbye to coach Michael Cheika and a number of players who are retiring after giving all to Australian rugby.
Hopefully we will now say good riddance to those sitting in the silver palace that is Rugby Australia's headquarters, those ultimately responsible for putting Cheika and his men in this embarrassing position.
But I doubt it.

Ireland vs Australia for the William Webb Ellis Raspberry semi-finals. The trophy is a turd in the shape of a rugby-ball. Argentina get a bye straight into the final due to bad refereeing.
It seems like the only people surprised by this result is Cheika and Hooper!
Embarrassing. A damning indictment of Australian rugby and as always with failure this starts at the top. If the administration doesn’t change then it will be more of the same . Sad sad sad
So much money wasted on trying to establish a winning professional team in Melbourne to keep the Victorian boys’ club happy. That will be the legacy that Clyne leaves for his years as Chair of the game’s governing board in Australia. Epic fail. The most epic of epic fails.
Rugby in Australia is governed by self interest so the fails are only going to continue.
shrinking to greatness worked an absolute treat, didn't it!
Interesting comment on GAGR that there was a public stoush at Tokyo Commission party before the Fiji game which stopped the party and had Castle run to the toilet in tears. The predicted public outcry for Cheiks head has started, but looks like he dont wanna leave now, and there’s still the issue of a year left on his contract.
